My decision

I decided to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This came about around November of 2009 when I had been praying about it a lot and wondering what I would do come Graduation this May. I never really had the desire to serve a mission as a youth, but I found myself wanting more all the time. Wanting to know more, serve more, do MORE. I always felt like there was something I could do. Of course... the sister missionaries told me it was fantastic and how great I would be... of course... I feel like its the right thing to do... and of course... I want to do this not only for me, but for the Lord and the people who I might be able to inspire and guide. I know what leadership qualities I possess and I want to effectively use them. If the Lord gave me everything I have, why not give him my all? The year and half without the things I am accustomed to (cell phone, Facebook, movies, dating, hanging out with friends) will be but a moment in comparison to the blessings I will receive. If I get to learn a language, awesome! If I get to have the hardest experience of my life, EVEN BETTER. I love challenges and I know that with Christ all things are possible. His gospel is true. He gave His life for my sake. He loves me and I love Him. Wouldn't you want to give your best to someone like Jesus Christ?

Oh and BTW I will be submitting my papers this Sunday!
